FAQ

  • For many people, yes — and sometimes more effective. Group formats add powerful elements of normalization, resonance, and relational healing. Individual inner experience is still central, but the group provides additional layers of support and meaning-making.

  • No. Sharing is always optional. You’re encouraged to participate at a level that feels safe and appropriate for you. Many people find value simply listening and reflecting.

  • Ketamine sessions take place in person at CMAT. Each participant has their own space and inward-focused experience, supported by music and therapeutic presence. 1-2 therapists (depending on group size) and a registered nurse are present to ensure emotional and physical safety.

  • CMAT clinicians are bound by strict confidentiality standards. Because this is a group experience, participants are asked to respect one another’s privacy. Absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, but clear group agreements are reviewed at the outset.

  • Group MAT may not be appropriate for individuals who:

    • Are currently in acute crisis

    • Have active psychosis or untreated bipolar disorder

    • Feel unable to tolerate a group environment
Eligibility is determined through the medical and psychological screening process.

  • Yes. Optional individual preparation or integration sessions may be added if clinically appropriate and scheduling allows. These are billed separately at CMAT’s standard 1:1 rates, $300/hour.

  • Group delivery allows high levels of clinical support to be shared across participants, making intensive care more accessible without compromising safety or quality.

  • That’s completely fine. During intake, we’ll help you decide whether group or individual ketamine-assisted therapy is the best fit for your needs.
